1. Overview

Amicus Logic ("Amicus Logic", "we", "us", or "our") provides automation, CRM, and communications services to small and medium businesses (our "Clients"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, interact with us, or when we process data on behalf of our Clients.

For certain services, Amicus Logic acts as a "data controller" (or "business") and for others we act as a "data processor" (or "service provider") on behalf of our Clients. When we process data on behalf of a Client, that Client is responsible for its own privacy notices and compliance obligations.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following contexts:

  • Website visitors: contact details, form submissions, support inquiries, and usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
  • Prospective and existing Clients: business contact information, billing details, and communication history.
  • End users of our Clients: contact information (such as name, email, phone number), communication preferences, and engagement data (such as email or SMS deliverability, open rates, and responses) processed on behalf of Clients.

We may collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of our website and platform (including through cookies and similar technologies), and from third-party sources such as integration partners and our Clients.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve our automation and communication services.
  • Configure and manage Client accounts, integrations, and workflows.
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Analyze usage to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where required by applicable law (such as the GDPR), we rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process personal information: (i) your consent, (ii) performance of a contract, (iii) compliance with a legal obligation, and (iv) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our services. When acting as a processor or service provider, we process personal information strictly in accordance with our Client’s instructions and the terms of our agreement with that Client.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share personal information in the following situations:

  • With service providers and sub-processors that support our platform (e.g., hosting, analytics, communication carriers), bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • With Clients, where we process end user data on their behalf and provide them with insights and reports.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • To comply with laws, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Amicus Logic, our Clients, or others.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When processing data on behalf of Clients, our retention is governed by our agreement with the Client, and we may delete or anonymize data upon a Client’s instruction or at the end of the engagement.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights such as the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, or request data portability. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent where we rely on consent.

If we process your information on behalf of a Client, you should contact that Client directly to exercise your rights. We will support our Clients in responding to such requests as required by our agreements and applicable law.

8. International Data Transfers

Our services may involve the transfer of personal information across country borders, including to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or comparable transfer mechanisms to protect personal information in connection with international transfers.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. However, no system or transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of any login credentials associated with your use of our services.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services and website are not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such information as required by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as via email or an in-app message).
